Halmstads BK drops points in late thriller against Örgryte

Halmstads BK was on its way to strengthening its lead in the Allsvenskan when they led 2-0 against Örgryte. But a few minutes of lack of concentration and caution against Örgryte at home on Örjans vall, combined with the fact that safety crept in at the end, and 2-0 turned into 2-2.

What happened?

Halmstads BK had so far dominated the match completely. With good mobility and fine passing play, the team tore up big holes in Örgryte's backline and 2-0 at halftime was well-deserved.

Why did Halmstads BK drop points?

But some changes at halftime, when Boyd Mwila came in and gave Ailton Almeida necessary support up front and Valter Tomaz Jr was moved down to the backline, changed the match picture. Halmstad seemed to have the match under control when Mwila in the 85th minute stuck the ball behind the home team's backline where Almeida coolly chipped in 1-2.
