Halmstads BK has signed Mikael Boman from Danish Randers FC. Boman returns to HBK after four and a half years, when he left the club to play for IFK Göteborg. During his time at IFK Göteborg, Boman played three seasons before choosing to test life as a foreign pro in Danish Randers FC. The two seasons in Denmark were not particularly successful for Boman, who only managed one goal in 27 games. Now, the 30-year-old chooses to return to Sweden to play in Superettan and Halmstads BK. The contract extends over two and a half seasons. Mikael Boman is pleased with the transfer and looks forward to playing for HBK again. He says it feels fantastic to be back in Halmstad and that he enjoys the city and Örjans vall. Boman will join the club next week, but will not be able to play for HBK until the transfer window opens in mid-July. Halmstads BK was tipped before the season to be at the top of the table and was seen as a favorite to take an Allsvenskan spot. Reality has been different, and after eleven rounds, the club is fourth worst in Superettan. Now they get Boman back, who scored plenty of goals during his previous stint in Halland. Magnus Haglund, manager of Halmstads BK, is pleased with the signing and says that Boman is a forward who gives us hard work and smartness on the pitch. Boman will contribute with very positive energy in a group, and it's a great day for Halmstads Bollklubb. Boman is getting married this weekend and will then focus on HBK. He says it's great to come back to Halmstad with everything that entails.
